Preparing for Our Second Century
With a strengthened organization and new appointments in our Oleo Chemicals business, we are accelerating our growth journey.
As we prepare to leave a full century behind, we continue to accelerate our preparations for our 100th year and beyond. As part of this, we restructured our Evyap Soap Malaysia and Evyap Soap Indonesia organizations, positioning the Oleo Chemicals business under the new Life Chemicals Group.
The Life Chemicals Group consists of two main business units: large-scale core Oleo Chemicals, and the newly founded Specialty Chemicals, shaped by R&D, market development and application expertise. L. C. Saw, who joined the company in 2016, now leads this transformation as CEO of the Life Chemicals Group.
In the new structure, Ekrem Erdem was appointed President of Oleo Chemicals, responsible for production, planning and pricing of core oleo products as well as sales operations in the Turkish market. Evin Pehlivanlı, with more than 20 years of experience in finance and strategic management, was appointed Group President of Finance and IT (CFO).
Our Oleo Chemicals journey began in Johor, Malaysia in 2014 and has recorded strong global growth ever since.
Our CEO Mehmed Evyap shared this message: “Our growth initiatives will continue with new facilities planned to come online in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2026. These investments reflect our commitment to renewable, green chemistry solutions spanning food, personal care, animal nutrition, perfumery and industrial applications.”
